Curriculum

At Strongsville City Schools, our Curriculum Department is committed to shaping the leaders of tomorrow by empowering today's learners. We do this by fostering innovative, inclusive learning environments that prioritize research-based instructional strategies, designed to meet the unique needs of every student. Through this approach, we ensure that each learner is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

The Strongsville City Schools Curriculum Department offers a wide range of services aimed at supporting the diverse academic needs of our students. From our English Learner (EL) program and Gifted Education Services to the implementation of the Title I Program and the Third Grade Reading Guarantee, we ensure that all students have access to high-quality, personalized learning opportunities. Our department also oversees student participation in state testing, ensures equitable access to literacy resources through our 'Teaching Reading in SCS' initiative, and manages procedures for maintaining and evaluating school media center collections. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment where every student can succeed.
