PowerSchool for Families

PowerSchool gives families access to student grades, attendance, report cards, schedules, fees, transportation information, and more.

Important: For full access to features and information, please use a web browser. PowerSchool works best in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. The PowerSchool app is only useful for a quick grade check.

Parent Login

Parents and guardians should sign in through the PowerSchool Parent Portal using their email address and password.

New families should click Create Account on the sign-in screen and follow the instructions here.

Student Login

Students should use the Student Sign In option and log in with their @scsmustangs account credentials.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Student Sign In.

How to Create a Parent Account

  1. Open PowerSchool using the Parent Portal button above.
  2. Click Create Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, and create a username and password.
  4. Enter your child’s Access ID and Access Password provided by the school.
  5. Submit the form to complete setup.

Add Another Student to an Existing Parent Account

  1. Sign in to your parent account.
  2. Select Account Preferences.
  3. Open the Students tab.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Enter the student’s name, Access ID, Access Password, and your relationship to the student.

How to Complete Annual Student Information Update

Each year, families are asked to review and update important student and household information in PowerSchool so the district has the most current records on file.

  1. Sign in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
  2. Along the left side of your screen is a navigation menu. Scroll down and select Information Update.
  3. You will be prompted for your student’s date of birth for authentication.
  4. Once in, you will review the student’s medical information, contact information, student handbook acceptance, and choose whether to opt into or decline the district’s optional Chromebook insurance.
  5. Complete all required fields and submit your updates when finished.

How to View Transportation Information

  1. Sign in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
  2. Along the left side of your screen is a navigation menu. Scroll down and select Transportation.
  3. Review bus route, stop location, pickup time, and drop-off information as available.
  4. If transportation information appears incorrect or is missing, contact your child’s school or the transportation department.
