George Anagnostou has served as the Treasurer for the Strongsville City School District since 2015, bringing a wealth of experience in educational finance and administration.

In his role, George oversees critical financial operations including annual budget reporting, financial forecasting, compliance, grants management, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, appropriations, fixed assets inventory, employee benefits, public records, and student activities. He works closely with District departments and school buildings to align resources with the District's goals and objectives.

George's leadership has earned Strongsville City Schools numerous accolades, including:

• Moody's Aa1 Rating
• ASBO Meritorious Budget Award for 8 consecutive years
• ASBO Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for 8 consecutive years
• Government Finance Officers Association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 7 consecutive years
• Auditor of State Award with Distinction for 5 consecutive years

Prior to joining Strongsville, George served as the Executive Director of Budgets and Grants for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District for six years. He also worked as an Assistant Project Manager for the Ohio Auditor of State's Office.

George holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Youngstown State University (2003). In 2014, he completed the prestigious Strategic Data Fellowship program in conjunction with Harvard University, which develops data strategists for educational systems.

With his extensive experience in financial management and data strategy, George continues to drive fiscal excellence and support educational goals in the Strongsville City School District.
